Summer Family Engagement

Participate As You Wish, When You Wish

August 16 - Backpack Pals

  • Backpack pals is an organization that provides food for children in need in the Bethlehem area. They know that weekends, school vacations, and summer breaks can be very difficult for families in need.

  • If you are interested in helping this organization, please click on the link below to go directly to their Facebook page. There you will find a list of needed items that can be ordered and shipped directly from Amazon to Backpack Pals. What a great, contactless way to help those in need in our community!

  • Visit the Backpack Pals' Facebook page.

August 9- Home on a Rock Craft Activity

  • Jesus taught us through a parable to build our homes on the rock of God (Luke 6:46-49 or Matthew 7:24-27). In Psalm 18, we learn that “…my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

  • Marianne Briggs is putting together bags with a craft activity based on this parable. They will be available for pickup after the service on 8/9.

  • Please click on the link below for a PDF with instructions

  • May your home be strengthened this summer by standing on the rock of God’s love, peace, faith and hope!

August 2 - Nazareth Food Bank Donations

Trinity’s Youth Ministry is working to help the children of the Nazareth community. Please consider helping us collect donations. We are collecting three-ring binders and loose leaf paper for the Nazareth Food Bank from August 1st through August 14th. There will be a bin outside of the church doors to drop off donations during the week. Thank you for helping us help others!

7/26/2020 - Bible Story Mad Libs/Scavenger Hunt

7/12/2020 - Walk the Labyrinth

  • Take some time this week to walk the Labyrinth at Trinity either by yourself or with your family.

  • Click here for specific information about our Labyrinth and ideas of how to use the space.

7/5/2020 - Patriotism + Spirituality

  • Pick up your Family Engagement Bag at the church service on the 5th with a story and craft related to finding our freedom through Jesus.

  • Story materials will also be available in the church office if you are unable to pick up your bag at service. Please call the church office to make arrangements to get your bag.

August 23 - Church Scavenger Hunt

This week’s Summer Family Engagement activity is a scavenger hunt on the church grounds.  Many thanks to Kelly Setzer and her family who designed this exciting and fun scavenger hunt, which you may download by clicking here.  We sure would love it if you’d share pics of your family’s adventures completing the hunt – details are in the link.
