Pastor Christian Eichorn
The Rev. Dr. Christian Eichorn was unanimously elected to be the 17th Pastor of Trinity on Sunday, December 3rd, 2006. He began his tenure on Tuesday, January 16th, 2007. In 2017, Pastor Eichorn celebrated the 30th anniversary of his ordination.
He started his ministry in Burlington, North Carolina serving as an Associate Minister. He also served as Pastor of Christ's Lutheran Church in Stanley, North Carolina. He returned to his roots in Allentown in 1994 to focus on his doctoral studies at Drew University. While in Allentown, he served several years at Christ Lutheran Church as Assisting Pastor. Pastor Eichorn also served as an interim Pastor for Nativity Lutheran Church in Allentown and Jerusalem Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury. He also taught homiletics for a number of years at the Reformed Seminary in New Brunswick New Jersey and for a year at The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. He is the husband of Pam and father of Jennifer, Jacqueline and Abbey.
David Ruhf, Cantor and Parish Administrator
David has been the Cantor at Trinity since March of 2001, and added the Parish Administrator position to his roster of duties in February of 2002. Trained in Sacred Music at Westminster Choir College, David undertook extensive study of organ, choral conducting, choir training for young singers, hymnody, psalmody, and the theology of worship. He has served congregations of various denominations including Roman Catholic, Episcopalian, and United Methodist. An experienced and enthusiastic singer, he has sung in choral performances with the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and currently sings in and serves on the board of the Bach Choir of Bethlehem. He also writes the Bach Choir's blog. As Parish Administrator, in addition to his office duties, he helps to maintain this website, and also is an administrator of the congregation's Facebook Page. David lives in Bethlehem with his wife, Amy, who is also an active member at Trinity.
Kathy Sigley, Coordinator of Events
Kathy has well over a decade of service at Trinity as our indespensable Coordinator of Events. In this role, she works with several committees and the Congregational Council to see that our programmed events run smoothly. Her work includes acting as liason to the Helping Hands Committee, she chairs the Young at Heart Group, and she works closely with the Social Ministry Comittee. Additionally, she acts as Wedding Coordinator for the parish, and helps to manage building use by various internal and external groups. She is married to Earl, and they have a son, Shawn.
Jerry Butz, Sexton
Jerry also has a long tenure of service at Trinity as our Sexton. His work includes daily care for our building, as well as caring for the grounds, in cooperation with our active Property Committee. Jerry can also be seen in the Narthex on Sunday mornings before the early service, for which he often acts as greeter. Jerry is married to Arlene, and the two have been blessed with several children and grandchildren, including our Coordinator of Events, Kathy Sigley.
